While walking to class, the bright red flowers caught my eye. I decided to bring them to class and observe them under the microscope. The thin flower petals were transparent, but I thought preparing them with water would lead to a better visual image. It did.
In great detail, I was able to see a crisscross of lines. Is it possible that the thicker lines are cell walls? I am curious to see how the cells of other plants would compare to these thin flower petals.
