The other day I was sitting on a bench by Roble field and I was working on a tedious chemistry PLP when this little guy (the leaf in the picture) fell down right by me. I picked it up, knowing it would be fun to look at under the foldscope in class. After this short encounter, I was able to swiftly finish my PLP because I had given my brain a break. I later took this very leaf to class and cut a small piece of it off to put on a slide and took this picture! You can see a bunch of small cells and the varying deepness of green in each of the cells.
