I compared loose leaf green tea (right) to finely ground matcha (left) under the foldscope to see if they differ on a microscopic level. Under the Foldscope, the matcha powder does not appear all that different than what it looks like under the naked eye. However, the assam loose leaf tea appears to be speckled. I think it is interesting to view the difference because they both have different strengths and tastes; moreover, they are different on a fundamental level.
