A Foldscope orientation programme was conducted by CEE North East at Guwahati Railway High School. Students and science teachers attended the programme,
At first students were briefly introduced into the principles of microscopy. Afterwards they prepared slides with flowers and small onion pieces, which were later on showed to the class under the foldscope. One group of students also learned how to built the foldscope. Later water from the Deepor Beel wetlands was examined under the foldscope in order to find some microorganisms inside (fe. Daphnia,Cyclops, Mysis)
