OBSERVATIONS:

Different parts of the cockraoch body were viewed under the foldscope to produce clear and sharp outcomes.

Firstly, the mouth part of the cockroach was observed. The various segments of the mouth- the glossa, prementum and paraglossa could easily be distinguished. It appeared in shades of ochre and brown under the light.

Next, the anal cerci of the cockroach was viewed. The anal cerci- an important sensory organ arose from around the tenth segment of the body of the cockroach. Fine hair-like structures could be seen arising from the anal cerci. Another feature of the anal cerci was the presence of light and dark segmented bands.

The wing of the cockroach was kept under the microscope for observation. The wing, when viewed, appeared extremely textured with grooves. the wing was a glowing brown colour under the light.
