This picture was taken through a foldscope. The picture shows more swamp water which was acquired from around the Bay Area near Stanford University. In this sample, many plant microbes were visualized. The sample in the picture was prepared by using a normal glass slide with a cover slip. In order to prevent the sample from being destroyed tape was used in order to create a chamber. The light source illuminating the sample originated from the light which came from the foldscope kit. The picture itself was taken by placing an iPhone XS camera against the lens. When taking the picture, the magnets would interfere with the mechanisms in the camera. This would attribute to some of the blurriness seen in the photo.
In the sample, many plantlike microbes are seen. They look very similar to spores There were many of them dispersed throughout the sample. It is hard to tell for sure what the identity of these microbes are, however, it is suspected that they could be some sort of fungus or fern.
