Two workshops were conducted in Bhandari High School & Junior College, Malvan by the Foldscope Team of D. G. Ruparel College on the 15th of February, 2019. In the first workshop, 24 students from the 11th standard participated and in the second workshop, 118 students of 7th, 8th & 9th standards participated.
In the workshops, the students were introduced to the marvel of Foldscope with a lecture demonstration. This was followed by observation of pre-prepared slides of stomata, wing of insect, fungus, pollen grains of Hibiscus & garden lilly flowers. The use of mobile phones to view, zoom and click images was explained to the students – this was greatly applauded by them.
