This is the most “extensive” beta-testing any Foldscope user has reported to our community so far. This is an incredible piece of work by Dr. Janice L. Pappas, Museum of Paleontology,University of Michigan. I am attaching the PDF file here – please read through, and you will find an incredible and sophisticated testing regime and incredible insights that everyone in Foldscope community will find useful.
I am even more excited since Dr. Janice predicted many features that we have implemented in the latest version of Foldscope getting ready for prime time for phase 2; including field of view locking and focus locking. More on that soon; but if you are a member of the community, and cares about bringing Foldscope to communities around the world – read this independent report.
Thank you Dr. Janice for this phenomenal effort. We hope to see you engage and contribute to this little community – and we would love to learn more about diatoms.
