This is a small fiber from the inside peel of the banana I had just peeled. I prepared this by simply acquiring a particularly thin sliver and then placing it on the slide and placing a cover slip on top. The results were fairly consistent with what I expected with a few plant cells visible and a clear vein. However, around the edges of the fiber, I found these clusters of beads which I do not know the composition or purpose of but I hypothesize that it has something to do with the droplets of fluid that makes bananas slippery coalescing.
