The students of Botany Department, Gauhati University were oriented on foldscope use by a team from CEE North East in February 2019. Students were taken to the Deepor Beel wetland to collect water samples to study using foldscope.

Students also studied permanent slides made by them. The above photograph is of a stained sample of the freshwater algae – Oedogoium.
