Under the Government of India, Department of Biotechnology sponsored Foldscope Twinning Program between PIs Dr. Gayathri N. and Dr. Sewali Pathak of D.G. Ruparel College, Mumbai and Bijni College, Assam respectively, Dr. Pathak visited Mumbai. An interactive workshop on “Foldscope : Assembly and Applications” was conducted in D.G. Ruparel College on the 27th of February, 2019. Introductory lecture on Foldscope was given followed by hands-on assembly of Foldscopes by the participants. Temporary slides of pollen, fungi, fish scales, algae, brine shrimp, etc. were prepared and observed by through Foldscopes.
