Department of Environmental Science, University of Calcutta, organized a daylong workshop on Water Quality Assessment using Foldscope at Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), in “Teachers’ Orientation for National Children’s Science Congress, Howrah” on 19 ^th September, 2018.  27 teachers from different schools of Howrah, West Bengal participated in this workshop.

The workshop started with a brief speech of Dr. Punarbasu Chaudhuri introducing Foldscope and how this paper microscope can be utilised in schools for quality monitoring of Water sample. After this, Foldscope team members of University of Calcutta demonstrated how to use Foldscope and making projection with Foldscope.
