Commonly known as Mexican marigold or Aztec marigold, is a species of the genus Tagetes native to Mexico.
This plant reaches heights of between 50 and 100 cm.
It is widely cultivated and there are many cultivars used in gardening as an ornamental plant.
This plant has been used for medicinal purposes .
The essential oil of the flower contains antioxidants.
