At Stanford University, near Campus Drive in the Cowell Cluster, I looked on the ground in the middle of a lawn, to search whether I found interesting elements. I saw a dead ant, and decided to look at it under the lens of the Foldscope which I had assembled in class last week. I found particularly interesting the intersection between its mesosoma (thorax) and its legs, which can be seen in the featured image in this post.
