This is a magnified image of a small leaf, as the shape and color of the object might imply. This image was taken at 5:51PM on 4/8/19. The sample was obtained at the Caltech turtle pond at 4:50PM by sticking a falcon tube into the pond. Since the magnification of foldscopes are 140x by default, and this image is about 6 cm in diameter, the width of this leaf in the image would be about .429mm. #caltechbi1
I tried taking other photos like this one, but it appears all I caught was dirt. The largest particles here were only about .5cm wide on the image, and they were magnified 140x, so these particles were about .0357mm wide.
