The sample was obtained from Baxter Pond at 6 PM on 4/10/19 by scooping up pond water. In the video, a nematode slowly moves up across the frame to the left. Domain: Eukarya, because worms have eukaryotic cells. The foldscope has magnification about 140x. The nematode is about 1.5 millimeters long.
Domain: Eukarya, because worms are eukaryotes.
The magnification is 140x, so the nematode is about 1.5 mm long.
Some questions: What do they eat? What role do they play in the pond ecosystem? These questions could be answered by an internet search.
Its phylum is Nematoda.
