The two pictures above show a paramecium and some plant matter/dirt that was obtained in the water outside Baxter Lecture Hall (the pools with lily pads right in front of the entrance to Ramo Auditorium) at 8 pm April 10, 2019. The sample was obtained by collecting the water into a tube (dipping the tube into the water and collecting the water as such).
The domain is Eukarya, and this is a paramecium due to its oblong shape and the presence of a smaller, darker, circular structure in its center that is most probably a cell nucleus.
