The above image is of pond water from Caltech obtained 4/11/19 at 5:30 pm, magnified using the Fold-scope microscope. The sample was obtained by drawing some water from a pond at Caltech. Then the Fold-scope was used to examine the water more closely and reveal the presence of some organisms. What organism is in the image? How did it evolve. We can use determining structures to try to answer these questions. #caltechbi1
