Attached above is a picture taken of a magnified drop of Turtle Pond water. The sample was pipetted at around 6PM, Wednesday, April 9th, 2019 from a tube of water that the recitation TAs had collected from the Turtle Pond earlier in the day.
The image shows various eukaryotic cells with a translucent outer membrance and a dark interior. Some could potentially be dust and air bubbles from the dirty lens.
The magnification of the foldscope is 140x with 2 microns resolution.
The size of the organism at the bottom right measured in the picture is about 1cm. Thus, the actual size of the organism is about 70 micrometers.
