In this photo can be seen algae from the turtle pond at the California Institute of Technology. The specimen was taken in the late afternoon using a cup and was used to demonstrate the creation of a “wet sample”. In the image, a small specimen of algae can be seen at the bottom of the lens. Although the image is slightly blurred the cells of the algae can be faintly seen. Algae are part of the domain Eukarya because of its multicellular makeup with distinct nuclei.
