Indo-US DBT Foldscope project was sanctioned to Barkatullah University, Bhopal where research work on Narmada River was carried out along with several workshops were conducted for school, college, university students of Madhya Pradesh and Northeast India. Also, various online sessions were conducted for Indian colleges and universities. The Principal Investigator of the project is Prof. Anil Prakash along with Co-Principal Investigator Prof. Vipin Vyas and Research Fellow Dr. Parul Gurjar

One day hands-on workshop has been conducted on 28 Sept 2018 at Govt. Homescience College Hoshangabad in which post-graduation students belong to Zoology and Botany subjects have participated.
The city near the holy river Narmada is blessed with its water and to assess the health of this river the water sample collected for microscopic analysis and in which foldscope as a substitute of microscope has used.
The students who cannot access the microscope in their laboratory can use this cheap, pocket sized instrument for lurking into the amazing microworld in a drop of water.
