Description: These images are of hibiscus pollen from the flowers next to page. The first image shows the pollen, and the second/third images show where I got it. The image of the pollen shows individual pollen grains through the lens of the foldscope. There is clear separation between the grains in the image.

How the sample was obtained: The sample was obtained by removing some of the pollen from the middle of the flower. Tweezers were used to pick the pollen off the flowers onto a paper sheet.

Some questions I have about my image are why there seem to be darker small rings within each round pollen grain. I also wondered why the edges of the image were more out of focus, and what I could do to minimize edge blur. To determine what these darker rings are, I could do more research on the anatomy of flower pollen or ask an online forum.
