The foldscope image shows a cluster of pollen grains from a hibiscus flower. They are roughly spherical or oval shaped and vary in size.
The sample was obtained at 7:40PM on 5/6/19 from flower bushes along the Olive Walk near Page House at the California Institute of Technology.
The sample was obtained by gently rubbing off pollen grains from the flower onto a glass slide.
The species of the flower that the pollen belongs to is hibiscus rosa-sinensis.
