The sample was taken on May 8, at approximately 3:30 pm from the olive walk on the Caltech campus. The sample was obtained by rubbing the pollen off of the flower and onto a glass slide, which could then be observed using the foldscope. The plant this sample was taken from is a California poppy flower of the E. Californica species. #caltechbi1
