Sample taken from Caltech campus next to Linde, at around 6:30 PM on Monday 5/6.
Pollen sample. It can be seen that the pollen grains are light yellow and triangular in shape. One question I have is why the pollen of this plant has this shape. A potential way to answer this would be to collect more pollen from a variety of plants and compare the shapes of their pollen, and see if any patterns can be found to explain the differences.
Location where sample was obtained. Sample was obtained by rubbing the pollen from the flower onto the glass slide, and then covering with a cover slip.
Flower from which sample was obtained.
