The pollen above is pollen from the Matilija Poppy. This was obtained outside Earle M. Jorgensen Laboratory, Caltech, at 5: 29 PM on May 9th, 2019. The sample was obtained by scraping the pollen off the flower and onto the glass slide by using a plastic knife.
The plant species of the pollen is Romneya Trichocalyx (we know this due to hairy sepals on the flower, which aren’t present in R. Coulteri).
