 This is a sample of pollen collected from a yellow lily by the turtle pond on the Caltech campus. The sample was collected today (5/10/19) at about 3:30 pm (#procrastination) by plucking off one of the stems that held the pollen. We see that the pollen is green in color (probably due to the light) and shaped like almonds. The image also features some clear colored spots which are probably just air bubbles in the slides.
