This is a picture of a magnified pollen sample that was obtained at 4PM on May 10th near the turtle ponds. This sample was obtained by taking the pollen from an iris and carefully placing it onto the prepared slide. The sample was then placed in a foldscope and magnified to obtain the featured image. Iris fernaldii is a species of iris that’s native to California.
This is the iris from which the pollen sample was obtained.
