This is the picture of the pollen through the lens of the foldscope.
This is a picture of the flower the sample was obtained from. The sample was obtained at 10:00 am on Monday, May 27, 2019. The sample was obtained from the Guggenheim building at the California Institute of Technology, on the South side of campus near East California Blvd. The flower had longer petals and was purplish-blue in color, with many of the flowers unbloomed in the shade. The pollen seen by the foldscope looked like grains of rice, and some were clumped together and some were not. #caltechbi1
