The sample was obtained from the Guggenheim building at the California Institute of Technology, on the South side of campus near East California Blvd. The flower had longer petals and was purplish-blue in color, with many of the flowers unbloomed in the shade. The pollen seen by the foldscope looked like grains of rice, and some were clumped together and some were not. #caltechbi1</p>
