This image depicts the edge of a petal from a flower of a Jacaranda tree (a plant of genus Jacaranda). Nearest to the edge, individual plant cells can be seen composing the petal. This sample was obtained by separating a petal from a fallen flower of a Jacaranda tree. It was obtained at 5:20 PM on May 27th, 2019 from the lawn outside the Athenaeum.
