This is an image of the inner layer of a blade of grass. The outer layers were peeled away until the sample was more transparent. On the edge of this image, the boundary between light green and dark green is where the blade of grass transitions from peeled to unpeeled. The grass appears to have a fibrous structure, as the image shows vertical stripes. This sample was obtained from a lawn near the Olive Walk. It was obtained at 5:30 PM on May 27th, 2019.
