Below is the foldscope image of a purple Lily of the Nile’s pollen. This pollen sample was collected on May 28th around 2pm in Avery Courtyard at Caltech by removing the flower’s stamen from the petals and gently tapping the stamen onto the glass slide to collect pollen. After putting on a cover slide, the photo below was obtained. We can see in the image individual grains of pollen, which are shaped oblongly.
