Pollen from agapanthus as viewed underneath the Foldscope
Agapanthus flower from the Avery inner courtyard. Sample of pollen was collected from the Avery inner courtyard on Tuesday May 28 around 2 pm. The pollen was obtained by taking out the stamen from the center of the flower and gently tapping it against the glass slide. We stopped once we had about a square of pollen with length and width roughly half the width of the glass slide. We note that the pollen, as viewed underneath the Foldscope, are each individually oval-shaped. #caltechbi1
