Title: Salvia clevelandii hairs Description: This is a magnified image of the Salvia clevelandii’s purple flowers. The long parts on the left are the flower’s small hairs.
Time and Location: 5:34 pm 5/29/19, Bechtel courtyard
Obtained: I plucked off the purple flower with my fingers and grounded the hairs onto the slide. Here is a picture of where I obtained it:

Title: Candelabra aloe pollen Description: This is a magnified image of the Candelabra aloe’s yellowish pollen. The dark spots are the pollen on the slide.
Time and Location: 5:35 pm 5/29/19, Bechtel courtyard
Obtained: I plucked off the orange flowers of the Candelabra aloe with my fingers and pressed the anther to the slide, obtaining the pollen. Here is a picture of where I obtained it:

Title: Penstemon spectabilis pollen fragments
Description: This is a magnified image of the Penstemon spectabilis’s purple pollen fragments. The dark areas are chunks of sticky pollen on the slide.
Time and Location: 5:35 pm 5/29/19, Bechtel courtyard
Obtained: I picked a purple Penstemon spectabilis flower and pressed the anther to the slide with my index finger, obtaining the pollen. Here is a picture of where I obtained it:

Title: French lavender petal fragments Description: This is a magnified image of the French lavender’s purple petal fragments. The dark areas denote where the petal power is.
Time and Location: 5:36 pm 5/29/19, South of Bechtel dining hall
Obtained: I picked the head of a French lavender flower and grounded up the petal onto the slide by hand. Here is a picture of where I obtained it:

Title: Star jasmine pollen
Description: This is a magnified image of the Star jasmine’s white pollen. The dark specked areas are the pollen.
Time and Location: 5:38 pm 5/29/19, South of Bechtel dining hall
Obtained: I picked one Star jasmine flower and tapped the anther onto the slide with my index finger, obtaining its pollen. Here is a picture of where I obtained it:

Title: Lophospermum petal fragments Description: This is a magnified image of the purple Lophospermum petal fragments. The dark dots are parts of the petal that rubbed off onto the slide.
Time and Location: 5:40 pm 5/29/19, South of Avery
Obtained: I picked off one Lophospermum flower and peeled off a petal. Then, I crumpled the petal into small pieces by hand and applied it onto the slide. Here is a picture of where I obtained it:

Title: Melaleuca quinquenervia bark powder Description: This is a magnified image of grounded Melaleuca quinquenervia bark. The small dark dots are the bark powder.
Time and Location: 5:40 pm 5/29/19, South of Avery
Obtained: I peeled off a piece of bark off of the tree, and then grounded it up with my hands. Then, I applied the powder onto the slide. Here is a picture of where I obtained it:

Title: Garden rose petal fragments Description: This is a magnified image of garden rose petal fragments. The dark, rough areas are where the petal fragments rubbed off.
Time and Location: 5:42 pm 5/29/19, East of Avery
Obtained: I picked a garden rose flower off of the stem. Then, I crumpled it up and rubbed it onto the slide with my hand. Here is a picture of where I obtained it:

Title: Powdered Camphor tree leaves Description: This is a magnified image of grounded Camphor tree leaves. Since leaves are very opaque, the very dark parts are bits of the leaves.

Obtained: I plucked a leaf from the Camphor tree. Then, I grounded it up by hand and let the powdered bits fall onto the slide. Here is a picture of where I obtained it:

Title: Powdered Japanese cheesewood leaves Description: This is a magnified image of grounded Japanese cheesewood tree leaves. The small, dark circular areas are where the cheesewood leaves landed on the slide.

Obtained: I plucked a leaf from the Japanese cheesewood tree. Then, I grounded it up by hand and let the powdered bits fall onto the slide. Here is a picture of where I obtained it:
