At 2pm on Tuesday, May 28th, a sample of star jasmine flower was collected from Avery Courtyard at Caltech in California. We then attempted to remove the stamen with tweezers and tried to take out some of the pollen. Depicted above is the stamen of the star jasmine flower placed on a glass slide. If you look closely at the image, you can see small circular shapes of the flower’s pollen. #caltechbi1
