A filament from the tip of the big tree inside Avery Courtyard.
Tip of the big tree inside Avery Courtyard A filament and the leaves were collected from the big tree in the center of Avery courtyard at Caltech at roughly 2:10 pm on Tuesday May 28, 2019. The sample was prepared by placing part of the stem and a leaf on the glass slide. Underneath the Foldscope, we can see the hairy-like structures lining the outside of the stem. #caltechbi1
