Rose stamen as viewed underneath Foldscope.
Picture of rose on Moore Walk at Caltech. Sample was collected at around 2:45 pm on Moore Walk at Caltech on May 29, 2019. We collected the stamen by taking out rose petals in order to gain access to the stamen. Underneath the Foldscope, we see that the stamen has some traces of red pigment at the top side. We see that the edges are more clear than the center. #caltechbi1
