The sample above was obtained at approximately 6:30 pm, in the area near the gated entrance to Ruddock House (within ~50ft of the gate). It was prepared by obtaining a flower, and rubbing its onto a slide, which was placed onto the foldscope. It is possible to dark spots, which are pollen, in the resultant image.
The below sample was also obtained at approximately 6:30 pm, in the area near the gated entrance to Ruddock House. It was prepared by obtaining a leaf, and placing a small piece of it onto a slide which was placed onto the foldscope. One can see an elaborate pattern of intersecting lines and circles – these may be plant cells.
