A pointy leaf from a hedge-plant that is commonly seen around the Caltech houses is the subject of this image. The grainy texture of the leaf can be seen as the thin parallel lines crossing the image. Furthermore, water droplets are observed as the sample is fresh and is pressed between a sample slide and cover slip. #caltechbi1
The sample was taken at approximately 5:30 pm on May 30, 2019 in the Caltech Ruddock House Courtyard. The sample was obtained by removing a leaf from the plant, and carefully removing a thin slice from the leaf with the help of a knife. This thin slice was then transferred to a clean sample slide. #caltechbi1
