I took this slightly rotten orange after it fell off the tree on the Olive walk at Caltech around 2 pm on May 30th. Then, I peeled the orange and scraped a thin sample of the skin.
This is the foldscope close up of the skin. While it was difficult to obtain a really thin sample, can still see individual cells on the edge of the skin. #caltechbi1
