The sample was taken at approximately 7pm on May 31 at Chandler Cafe at the California Institute of Technology. The sample is of the inside part of the cucumber, specifically the watery, goo-y area around the seeds. We can see the nonuniform orientation of the cells of the cucumber and the rectangular shape of the cellular walls.
