This sample was collected outside the Beckman Institute at the California Institute of Technology. The sample is of an ant leg and the guts (to the upper left of the photo). We can see the brown pigment of the insides of the ant which oozed out of the specimen when it was placed on the slide. The black figure that bisects the the photo is a leg of the ant.
