Sample collected from small black beetle of unknown species near Avery House’s north gate on 5/31/19 at ~5:00pm.

Beetle was caught with the leaf shown left, then killed by getting pinched with my fingers. Cover slip sticker and lead pencil was used to separate one leg from the body.

Sample was observed on a slide under a cover slip through a foldscope. A femur, tibia, and bristles/hair can be seen.
