DBT Foldscope scheme – “Foldscope for dignosis of rumen acidosis and parasitic infection in cattle”

Rumen fluid was collected from a healthy cow. Smear was prepared with one drop of rumen fluid, stained with lugol’s iodine stain and visualized under foldscope. Protozoa under the genus Dasytricha was identifid based on the morphology -Oval body, covered with cilia in spiral longitudinal rows and flattened macronucleus in middle.
