Dr. M. S. Bal, Scientist, Animal Disease Research Centre, GADVASU presented the research work ‘Foldscope as a diagnostic tool for identification of canine parasites with emphasis on zoonotic parasites’ authored by Mandeep Singh Bal, Rashmi Sagar, Paramjit Kaur, V. Mahajan and G. Filia in 27 th International Conference of the World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (WAAVP) held at Madison, WI, U.S.A. from July 7-11 th 2019 . The study was undertaken to use Foldscope(magnification 140x) as a portable diagnostic tool for canine parasitic infections. A poster was presented in the conference and same was appreciated by scientists and Veterinarians especially those running clinical diagnostic laboratories.
