A workshop was organized in a remote village of Goalpara district, Assam i.e. Ketkibari M.V. School, Ketekibari, a school situated in a Garo tribe dominated village near Meghalaya state on 9th August, 2019. The students were highly interested and got enjoyment while learning the assembling the foldscope. They were very much happy to see specimens under this paper microscope. More than 60 students along with teaching staff participated in this workshop. On behalf of the school, the headmaster Mr. Dilip Kumar Sarma offered vote of thanks to the Principal Investigator (Dr. Jugabrat Das) and the project Assistant (Mr. Dipul Nath) and specially to the DBT, Govt. of India for giving the opportunity to learn about this foldscope through microgrants to Department of Zoology, Goalpara College.
