Today we have attended and delivered a talk on Foldscope and demonstrated the same with 300 students from different fringe areas of Kokrajhar District, Assam. The program entitled “Gramya Bigyan Mela” (Rural Science fair) was jointly organised by Assam Science Society and Local Education Authority.
We are already implementing a project titled – ZOOMING THE INQUISITIVENESS (ZIN) with foldscope. It aims to popularize science education in fringe areas, where there is lack of infrastructure and even no fund to procure basic science equipment. This project aims to reach 50 schools soon.
