Foldscope an adorable tool was explained and demonstrated to Research Scholars of Department of Botany, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The brief summary about foldscope was discussed to the Research Scholar. The use and uses of foldscope was discussed to them. Demo using slide, how to attach the foldscope in phone was also shown to them. Along with how to prepare the sample slide for histochemical localization was also taught to them. The plant specimen of Capparis grandiflora Wall. ex Hook.f. & Thomson. were chosen. It shows branched multiseriate hairs. Reddish orange colour indicates the presence of alkaloids using Dragondroff ’s reagent.
