I conducted this project as part of Professor Pringle’s EEB321 class at Princeton University. Fractal figures appear everywhere in the nature, from snowflakes and river networks, of course including plant leaves! Plant leaves are also know to have the fractal figures, then can we determine how fractal that is based on the observation on foldscope? I know this photo is very vague, but I did my best to capture the image (sorry my adjustment of the foldscope was really bad…) I couldn’t make it to capture the fractals but I did see some small fractals in the edge of leaves, and probably using better microscope would capture the leaves in more detail!
