So I really wanted to see how the thin and yet strong hair really looks like when zoomed in by a microscope. I was expecting something like maybe a twisted rope. I have straight black hair and I got one by brushing my hair a little. I folded the hair into many folds and stuck it onto the slide. I used the light from my tube light to illuminate it. At first, I couldn’t find it but by adjusting the lens I finally noticed a thick black line. I thought the edges would at least be a little rough but they were smooth and continuous. There were other little pieces scattered around which might be debris from my finger which I used to press the thin hair onto the sticker or maybe dandruff from the hair itself. There are also other much thinner strands that don’t look like they would be visible to the naked eye. They could be parts of the hair itself but considering how smooth the main hair strand looked it’s hard to imagine it being a bundle of other smaller strands. The hair was thinner than a millimeter and looked zoomed to around to a few centimeters. It seemed to have zoomed around 75 to 100 times.
